Prof. V. K. Srivastava is Distinguished Alumni of Banaras Hindu University, graduated in 1965, did his M. Tech from IIT Kanpur and PhD from University of Wales at Swansea, UK. He has commendable track record as teaching faculty of HBTI & IIT Delhi.

 

During his tenure of 35 years with IIT Delhi, he guided 20 PhD students and authored 80-85 publications. He retired as Dean Industrial Research & Development. After superannuation from IIT Delhi, he headed various group of engineering institutes.

Prof. Srivastava’s association with NRC dates back to 1970 and he continued to work as Honorary Secretary for a long period. He had been most actively involved in construction of Golden Jubilee Building as part of Building Committee Member. Prof. Srivastava still continues to the active member of NRC. Prof. Srivastava also served as President of IIChE in year 2010. He was in Board of Governor of Engineering Council of India.
