Dr. Dhiraj Kumar Garg
Member, Executive Committee
Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers
(Northern Regional Centre)

Dr. Dhiraj Kumar Garg is PhD from University of Strasbourg, France, M.Tech. (Chemical Engg.) from IIT Delhi and B.Tech. (Chemical Engg.) from GGSIP University, Delhi. He gained extensive experience of shift and general operations, commissioning, and technical services while working in six nuclear power plants (NPP) spanning over four sites of Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (under DAE) for 5 years.

Dr. Garg is currently Assistant Professor in Dept. of Chemical Engineering, Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida, UP. His major area of research is numerical modelling and simulations and CFD. His areas of interest include Process Intensification, Process Engineering, Process Safety, Process Control, and Heat Transfer. Currently, he is working on realistic modeling and simulations of flow chemistry of free radical polymerization in chaotic advection based tubular microreactors, the process intensification of heat transfer through pulsating heat pipe, effect of micro mixing for very fast competitive reactions like dyes etc.

Dr. Garg is extending his work done on the modelling and simulation of free radical polymerization in batch reactor to semi batch reactor and CFD of the same in flow microreactor. He is also working on the evaluation of various chaotic advection based tubular microreactor geometries through CFD. He has published several papers in reputed international SCI journals. He is Course Coordinator of Course – “Natural Gas Engineering” sponsored by GAIL India Ltd. in Shiv Nadar University for 3rd year B.Tech. engineering students of all branches. He currently teaches courses on “Process Engineering” and “Process Safety”.
