Mr. Shyam Bang

Mr Shyam Bang graduated in Chemical Engineering from LIT, Nagpur in 1971 and completed Post-Graduation from UDCT (Now ICT) Mumbai in 1973.  He worked with Chemical and pharmaceutical industries in India and abroad for 44 years.  He was associated with Vam Organic Chemicals Ltd, the name was subsequently changed to Jubilant Life Sciences Ltd., for 35 years.  He was Executive Director and Member of the Board for twenty years.  He was instrumental in the company’s growth.  Jubilant is globally recognised in the Speciality Chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors. 

Mr. Bang has been associated with Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers for last four decades.  He was Chairman of Northern Regional Centre for three years and he was also President of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers in 2016.

Mr. Bang was:

• Chairman of National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies, Quality Council of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry for four years.

• Member of managing committee of PHD Chamber

• Member of Governing Council of National Safety Council.

Currently he is:

• Chairman of FICCI Committee for Manufacturing Excellence

• Member of Governing Council of Indian National Academy of Engineering

• Secretary of Lovraj Kumar Memorial Trust

• Chairman of Project Monitoring Committee set up by Ministry of Heavy Industries
